Lyrics

DO YOU KNOW WHERE YOUR DRINK IS?

It comes in a jug. You could buy it in a bar.

In a tall brown ice cold bottle or a mason jar

An aluminum can or a Dixie cup

In a little shot glass or the 20 gallon cooler in the back of your truck

Don’t matter where you get it just get one in your hand

Everybody it’s the weekend

Do you know where your drink is?

Gonna turn it up and turn it loose

Are ya all in?

It’s about to get buck wild here in a little while

It’s Friday night so it’s alright

It’s the weekend

Do ya know where your drink is?

It’s everywhere. Just look around.

There ain’t no excuse why you shouldn’t be about to fall down

But if you’re on a map where the town is dry

For God sakes get yourself across that county line

Don’t matter where you get it just get one in your hand

Everybody it’s the weekend

Do you know where your drink is?

Gonna turn it up and turn it loose

Are ya all in?

It’s about to get buck wild here in a little while

It’s Friday night so it’s alright

It’s the weekend

Do you know where your drink is?

Somewhere there’s a cold one just waitin on ya

Do you know where your drink is?

Everybody it’s the weekend

Do you know where your drink is?

Gonna turn it up and turn it loose

Are ya all in?

It’s about to get buck wild here in a little while

It’s Friday night so it’s alright

It’s the weekend

Do ya know where your drink is?

Do ya know where your drink is?

Nobody Knows

I see that look in your eyes wait baby don’t smile. You’ll give it away. Don’t give it away. I know the taste of your lips and what we just did by the look on your face. It’s cool this way and…

Nobody knows why we’re standin so close. Tomorrow they’ll be talkin but baby right now we know what nobody knows.

If we get one more chance to sneak off before we get caught, well I wouldn’t mind. Just give me a sign. Baby brush my hand skin to skin gimme that grin and I’m in. I can’t believe that you’re mine and…

Nobody knows why we’re standin so close. Tomorrow they’ll be talkin but baby right now we know what nobody knows.

Let’s keep it a secret for now, but I’m dyin to shout about what…

Nobody knows why we’re standin so close. Tomorrow they’ll be talkin but baby right now, oh baby right now, we know what nobody, we know what nobody knows.

Love Another Day

Here I am again seein love comin out of nothin but a friend and knowin how perfect it could be.

But if I’m here again, will this road lead me to the same heartache it did then, or baby will you come crashin into me?

Timing is everything, it’s all it takes to make or break. I wanna do the wise thing, slow it down till it comes around.

If you say goodbye I would die, but if I end it now we might live to love another day.

When you spend this long on the fence eventually you understand you only get one chance to jump in and then it’s gone long gone

Timing is everything, it’s all it takes to make or break. I wanna do the wise thing, slow it down till it comes around.

If you say goodbye I would die, but if I end it now we might live to love another day.

If there’s a change in your eyes I’d be such a fool to let this moment pass by.

Timing is everything, oh it’s everything. I wanna do the wise thing, gotta do the wise thing. I can’t let myself say goodbye and I won’t let you go cause I live, I live, I live to love you every day.

Lyrics

Couldn’t make her stay
The lights are still flashin on the boardwalk sign. The boys are all checkin out the suntan lines out on ocean way.
You can hear the kids screamin on the superslide and a cover band playin no woman no cry while the palm trees sway.
And when the air is just right on a night like this, I can still taste the salt and lime on her sweet kiss.
I can make her smile. I can make her laugh, make her believe it was gonna last. It was easy to do, hell I believed it too.
I could make her love me for a little while, make her forget the world outside that perfect place, watchin that summer sun fade but I couldn’t make her stay.
It said we were 21 on our fake IDs but we were just kids out on Indian beach and she grabbed my hand, and I’d build bonfires all the time but none of them burned quite as bright as the one we lit side by side on a blanket in the sand.
I can make her smile. I can make her laugh, make her believe it was gonna last. It was easy to do, hell I believed it too.
I could make her love me for a little while, make her forget the world outside that perfect place, watchin that summer sun fade but I, oh I couldn’t make her stay. No I couldn’t make her stay.
The lights are still flashin on the boardwalk sign, the boys are all checkin out the suntan lines out on ocean way.

Flashlight

He’d say son hold it still, keep that beam shinin straight. He’d have a 9/16ths in one hand workin on that Chevrolet.

Seemed like every Saturday, soon as the sun went down, we’d be huddled underneath that hood tinkerin around. And of all the great memories I had, the best ones are those nights, just me and my dad.

He’ll never know how much he taught me out in that garage, and I guess the stuff that stuck was more about life than fixin cars, cause to this day I still can’t make em run right, but I sure did learn a lot just holdin the flashlight.

He told me a lotta stories about Grandpa and the war while he was tryin to show me what a carburetor’s for.

I learned a couple cuss words when he skinned his knuckles up, and I find out momma’s the only girl he’s ever really loved.

When I asked him about women he just laughed. Said if we stayed out here all year, we wouldn’t have time enough for that.

He’ll never know how much he taught me out in that garage, and I guess the stuff that stuck was more about life than fixin cars, cause to this day I still can’t make em run right, but I sure did learn a lot just holdin the flashlight.

To this day I still can’t make em run right, but I sure did learn a lot just holdin the flashlight.

Lyrics

I remember you before the 80 proof had ever touched your lips and stole your smile.
You were the perfect mix of pure fire and innocence back when the sweet outweighed the wild, and even when it hurts so much to, I remember you.

Before all those little pills ever had the chance to steal your heart, your mind, your life and your soul. You used to lean on me. We were a family and I love you more than you pretend to know and even when you make it so hard to, I remember you.

Oh I know what you’ve done and what you’re hiding from, so you’re not alone and oh, I know where you’ve been in case you’re wonderin you can still come home.

I remember you. What else can I do? We shared a lot of sun before the rain. You will always be that perfect memory totally untouched by the pain and even when the whole world forgets to, I remember you.
